The two Senegalese wrestlers Balla Gaye 2 Tapha Tine were included in the Top 10 players sporting actors of the reputation Barometer in Senegal (Barnos) of November.
This breakthrough was made possible thanks to the battle between the two wrestlers tied by the promoter, Aziz Ndiaye. Other wrestlers like Modou Lô (fourth) and Eumeu Sene (seventh) are also found in the classification of Barnos.
However, the study revealed that the sport was not the priority of the Senegalese during the month of November. “Generally, the sport has lost some of its luster in the November barometer. Indeed, the headlines were mostly blocked by political subjects (70% of cases), while there were sports themes that occupied 14% of subjects, against 40% in October”.
The notoriety Barometer in Senegal is a study realized and published monthly by the Africa Communication Office in collaboration with the weekly Nouvel Horizon and the daily Enquête.
