Africa Afcon 2013 : Obafemi Martins not listed for Faroh camp

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi did not include Levante striker Obafemi Martins among the 32 players that will resume camping at the Faroh camp in Portugal.

The 32 players will battle for 23 places in the team that will represent Nigeria at the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa between January 19 and February 10.

Obafemi Akinwunmi Martins (born 28 October 1984) is a Nigerian Footballer who plays as a forward for Lavante and the Nigeria national team. He is known for his speed on the ball. After leaving Nigeria for Italy at age 16, he has since played for a number of top-divisional clubs aroun Europe. He began his senior career in 2002 at the Italian Serie A club Inter Milan, before moving to the English Premier League club Newcastle in 2006, and then the German Bundesliga club Wolfsburg in 2009. Having joined Russian Premiere League side Rubin Kazan in July 2010, they loaned him to Birmingham Cityin January 2011.
