Africa Ghana: Derek Boateng closes on move

According to Sky Sports, Fulham have secured a work permit for Derek Boateng.

They have been on the Ghana star’s trail since last summer, as have a number of clubs not excluding West Brom.
Fulham have been successful in their application to bring Boateng into England upon the hustle for the player, as he did not automatically gain a work permit.

Boateng himself has already had a medical check up and discussed personal terms, but he has now flown out to South Africa to join the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.

As Boateng is in Africa preparing for the 2013 Afcon, Fulham will look to finalize a deal with his club – Dnipro of Ukraine.
Boateng will not be able to play for Fulham despite the hurry, until February anyway due to Ghana’s participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.
