AFCON CAMEROON 2021 AFCON 2013: Six weeks out for John Pantsil’s hamstring tear

John Paintsil is out not to play Ghana’s search for third-place play-off against Mali on Saturday and his Club Hapoel Tel Aviv will also miss his services for the upcoming  matches in Israel.

The defender however is set to be sidelined after suffering a hamstring injury at the 2013 African Cup of Nations.

During Wednesday’s semi-final clash against Burkina Faso in Nelspruit he had a right-back pulled muscle only six minutes after play.

“He suffered a hamstring injury. We expect him to probably be out for up to six weeks with his hamstring,” Ghana’s team doctor Baba Adams is quoted by the FA’s official website.
