Following the recent news of Merlene Ottey’s come back and her visit to her alma mater to be awarded an honorary, in her homeland Jamaica.
She will however be the patron of the event on Saturday 16th February, 2013 at 1pm at the University of Technology (UTech) which will cover the HONORARY Doctor of Technology (Hon DTech) on Merlene Ottey.
Ottey has represented Jamaica in six Olympic Games consecutively and has won more Olympic medals in field and track history been Jamaica’s most decorated female athlete.
Saturday will be filled with much expectation from field and track fans in Jamaica as they are expected to turn out in their numbers.
