Algeria Cycling Tour of Algeria: Departure scheduled for 11th March

The International Cycling Tour of Algeria (CTA) 2013 is scheduled from 11 to 23 March. A few days before the begining of the competition, the organizers are busy so that this race could be successful.

“Preparations are going well thanks to the contribution of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) and wilayas concerned by the competition,” said the director of CTA-2013, Rabah Ouchaoua.

“The Algerian Federation of cycling and the organizer of the CTA-2013 (North-South organization) have all means to the good progress of this third edition which includes 12 stages with four rounds (Algerian Tour,  Tipasa and Blida Tours and Alger circuit). These tests will allow African teams to collect maximum points for the world championships scheduled for September 2013 and the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, “said Rabah Ouchaoua.

“The big race will start from the exhibition center (Safex) on March 11, while the arrival is at the stadium the 5th July at the request of the MYS. For example, in the wilaya of Mila, a loop is provided near the Beni Haroun dam on 18 km, “said Rabah Ouchaoua.
“At Constantine, two steps are provided with a circuit around the bridges for the development of the attires of the city of Constantine which, this year will be the capital of this third edition of the Tour of Algeria.”
Registered on the calendar of the UCI African Tour, the Tour of Algeria is governed by the regulations of the FAC and those of the International Cyclist Union (ICU). It is placed under the control of a forwarder and an anti-doping inspector.
