Africa Ghana : Satellites in African Youth Championship preparations in Spain

The U-20 Ghanaian squad is in Spain led by Sellas Tetteh in preparation for the 2013 African Youth Championship. The tour began last week Thursday where they camped for five days.

Ghana will be making its ninth appearance since winning three times in the tournament 1993, 1999 and 2009.

The Satellites in a friendly match against the Novara of Serie B beat the Italian side 3 – 2 on Monday. The Black Satellites will begin the second leg of their European tour on Tuesday in Catalonia where they will play a friendly match with the youth side of Barcelona.

The Youth Tournament comes up in Algeria on 16th March – 30th March, 2013. Ghana are in Group A alongside hosts.

The top four teams from the eight-team who qualify will represent Africa in the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey.
