Africa Ivory Coast : Elephants summoned by Coach Lamouc

Mighty Elephants of Ivory Coast who were unexpectedly knocked out of the 2013 Cup of Nations in South Africa by Nigeria have been summoned by Coach Sabri Lamouchi.

“We are leaving no stone unturned to book a place at the upcoming World Cup, so we want to begin groundwork as early as possible,” Lamouchi said on Thursday.

According to Coach Lamouchi all players are expected arrive 16th – 18th March to report to camp on 19th March in Abidjan to begin preparations ahead of their World Cup qualifiers against Gambia on 23rd March.

The Elephants are leading Group C with four points ahead of Tanzania on three points and Morocco on two.

“People have been calling for reforms but my team is in place and still strong. We can still compete and get to places. Reforms come naturally and we have that in our thoughts,” he said.
