Africa World Cup 2014: Mali escapes the trap of Rwanda (2-1)

The Eagles of Mali are scared but can smile after a tough encounter against Rwanda in Kigali.

Led at halftime on a goal in the 37th minute by Kagere, Mali got back in the second half with more motivation.

The opportunity for Mamadou Samassa to restore the parity in the 55th minute. At the 59th minute, Abdou Traore gives the advantage to the Eagles. Despite the offensive pressure of the Amavubi (Wasps), Mali did not loosen.

Mali remains in the race for the World Cup.

The other group match will oppose Benin to Algeria on Tuesday.
