Africa FIFA: Libya can host games at home!

Libya has just got the green light from the FIFA to organize international competitions on its own facilities.

CAF had already accepted the resumption of competition as a result of inspection missions to Libya. After the lifting of sanctions of the CAF, the FAR of Rabat had obtained their qualification for the knockout stage of the Confederations Cup in Libya.

The country that had experienced armed conflicts that led to the fall of Colonel Gaddafi, can now host FIFA competitions.

So on June 7and 14 in the 4th and 5th days of the World Cup Brazil 2014, the Knights of the Mediterranea will respectively receive DRC and Togo in Benghazi.
The Libyan leaders, who are thinking about an organization of the Afcon 2017, have planned the construction of stadiums to host the competition.
