Africa Mali: Carteron with the Eagles for the next two games

Still regarded as the coach of the Eagles by the Malian Football Federation (FMF), Patrice Carteron has signed a two-year contract with TP Mazembe.

The resignation submitted by the French technician with Mali was rejected by the President of the FMF. It is a true conflict situation that is born between the former coach of Dijon and the Malian football authorities. Questioned on this issue by RFI, Patrice Carteron is ready to find a common understanding with FMF.

The French volunteered to lead the Eagles to the next two games of June counting for the 2014 World Cup playoffs.
“I told my officers that I would go after the matches in June,” said Patrice Carteron. “I understand that as my resignation was not accepted, the President of the Malian Football Federation considers legally I’m still the coach of Mali. The goal for me is the two matches in June (on 7 against Rwanda and 14 against Benin). If I have to take care of the team in both matches, I will without any worry, “he said on RFI.
The French coach told Jeune Afrique that if the Malian Federation wished he leads the 2014 World Cup playoffs matches against Benin and Rwanda, he will be willing to do.
