Asia Roland Garros: Stephens wins after 6h of game in the rain!

The rain has once again disrupted the day at Porte d’Auteuil. So it took 6 hours 22 minutes to Sloane Stephens to finish her second round match against Vania King.

The American seeded No. 17 dominated her compatriot qualifier in straight sets 6/1, 6/3. In the third round she crosses the racket against the New Zealander Marina Erakovic (96th in the WTA) winner in three sets of the seeded No. 16 Dominika Cibulkova, 6/2, 2/6, 6/4 after a round of 6h 45 on court 7.

Note the surprising elimination of the world’s sixth player Li Na. The Chinese was eliminated by the American Bethanie Mattek-Sands, the 67th World in three sets 5/7, 6/3, 6/2.
