Africa 2014 World Cup playoffs: Samuel Eto’o withdrawal against Togo and DR Congo!

Cameroon team will play against Togo and DR Congo without captain and star Samuel Eto’o for the next meetings of the 2014 World Cup playoffs.

According to the website mboafootball site, Samuel Eto’o was injured in Saturday’s defeat of his club Anzhi Makhachkala against CSKA Moscow in the Russian Cup final. In a letter sent by the Russian training to Fecafoot it is notified Eto’o will be Monday in Yaounde to show his injury and will be unavailable for several weeks.

Already missing for the friendly game against Ukraine on Sunday, Eto’o will miss the movement of the Indomitable Lions in Lome to face the Hawks of Togo, then the reception in Yaounde of DR Congo.

Not good news for the new coach Volker Finke.
