Africa Tax fraud case: Eto’o found not guilty but not his former agent!

etoo-300x186The tax fraud case in which Samuel Eto’o was mentioned in 2012 tends to have a happy ending for the Cameroonian international. The real author would be Josep Maria Mesalles, Eto’o’s former agent.

According to cameroonvoice.com, Messalles, who was in charge of Eto’o heritage graciously made use of it to make investments in his behalf, all without the knowling of the native of Nkon.

The case dates even back in 2002, when the Cameroonian star acquires 99.97% of Bulte 2002 Empresarial SL, an enterprise owner of buildings in Catalonia and in Cameroon. Messalles, who then manages the portfolio of assets of Eto’o invest in many real estate, especially in France, without any report to the Indomitable Lion, but mainly through financial manipulation.

The special service of economic and tax crimes of Barcelona accused Eto’o of defrauding nearly € 3.5 million. Henceforth, his former agent is ordered to pay his former employer the sum of 14.9 million Euros.
