Africa 2014 World Cup: Senegal-Uganda will be played in Morocco

ugandasenegal-300x201It is now official. FIFA (International Federation of Football Association) confirmed the location of the meeting Senegal-Uganda counting for the sixth day of 2014 World Cup playoffs. It is Alain Giresse, coach of the Teranga Lions who made the request close to the federation.

The meeting was originally to be held in Conakry but FIFA and CAF have agreed on Morocco. Senegalese and Ugandans will therefore compete on September 7 at the Marrakech stadium for what will be the final of this group. Both teams keep all their chances of qualifying for the final round of the playoffs. The Lions are first in their group with nine points, one more than the Cranes.

The Senegal plays its matches away since the suspension of the Leopold Sedar Senghor stadium after the clashes against Ivory Coast on 13 October 2012.
