Nice performance for Blessing Okagbare. The Nigerian finished second in the finals of long jump at the World Championships in Moscow. Okagbare was beaten by American the Brittney Reese, Olympic champion and triple world reigning champion.

Okagbare made a jump of 6m 99 (1 cm from her personal record), not enough to snatch the first place from Reese author of a jump of 7m 01. The Serbian Ivana Spanovic takes the third place with 6.82 m.

This is the first medal of Okagbare in this World Champs. She is also in the final of women’s 100m.
