After a long break from the Black Stars camp, the midfield bulldozer has finally agreed to return to the Black Stars camp.

Essien took a long break from the Black Stars camp after suffering three carrier threatened injuries. He was transfered to Real Madrid on his return from injury and later back to his Darling club Chelsea.
Coach Kwesi Appiah has added Essien to the Black Stars squad who will Face Zambia in the 2014 World Cup qualify.
