Africa Athletics /African Junior Championships: Egypt, Ethiopia and Kenya are already showing off!

championnat-dafrique-dathlétisme1-225x300Athletes from 33 countries are attending the competition with the goal to shine. The main intention of the 292 participants is to achieve the minimas for the 2014 World Championships in the United States.
Egypt, Ethiopia and Kenya have already showed off at the continental athletics appointment booked for young people. The three nations have won the first gold medal of the Championships.

The Egyptian Fadya El Kasaby in the women’s discus, the Ethiopian Tesfay Haylu in the 3000 m lady and the Kenyan Festus Kiprono in the 3000 m steeplechase man, are respectively distinguished by standing on the top step of the podium in their discipline.
The 33 participating countries are South Africa, Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Comoros, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, Uganda, DR Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, the Seychelles, Swaziland, Tunisia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
