Africa Black Stars must prepare to face any team, GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi

nyantakyiGhana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi has warned the Black stars not to under estimate any team in the final stage. Nyantakyi says if we really want to qualify to the World cup,the Black Stars must prepare to face any team in the play-offs. Ghana are among the ten countries to have sealed their places in the final phase of the qualifiers after the end of the group phase of the qualifiers over the weekend.
The Black Stars defeated Zambia 2-1 to seal their top spot in Group D and will head into a CAF draw on September 16 to determine its playoff opponent. Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Senegal and Cameroon are all through to Africa’s final qualifying round. Even though Ghana are likely to avoid the likes of Ivory Coast and Nigeria in the next phase, they are likely to take on Senegal, Cameroon or Burkina Faso which could prove very difficult.
Nyantakyi says the Black Stars must be ready to take on any country that is drawn to face them and admits it will be tough. “At that [final round] stage, you must bear in mind that no team will be cheap. Any team that has made it this far is strong and you cannot underrate any team at all.
The draw will be based on the latest Fifa rankings to be released on Thursday and will create five two-leg ties, with the winners going to the finals in Brazil.
