The FIFA ranking updated on Thursday confirmed the first African place to Ivory Coast. The Elephants always monopolize the ranking at the continental level but lose a rank worldwide. They are 19th.
Ghana maintains its second place with 815 points and is ranked 24th worldwide. The Black Stars are followed by Algeria (28th) and Cape Verde (31st). The African top five is completed by Nigeria, 37th worldwide.
Egypt qualified for the 2014 World Cup World 7th in Africa and 49th worldwide, followed by Burkina Faso (50th). Tunisia even though eliminated from the playoffs is ahead of Cameroon, which completes the African Top 10.
Senegal is the only team qualified for the World Cup qualifiers dams that is not included in the Top 10. They are ranked 11th and 66th worldwide. Ethiopia also qualified for the play-offs dosen’t even match in the Top 20. Walyas are 25th in Africa.
