Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has warned his side will not get it easy in their game against Ethiopia in the World cup play-offs. He believe Ethiopia is a tough opposition judging from the previous encounter they had against Ethiopia in the 2013 African Cup of nations where Nigeria scored two goals. Two late penalties from young Chelsea star Victor Moses helped Nigeria down Ethiopia 2-0 and sends the Super Eagles into a mouth watering quarterfinal against Ivory Coast.
Keshi feels Nigeria are in for more of the same when they meet in Ethiopia for the first leg next month, before a home leg in November. “The last time we played the Ethiopians it was quite tough and I know when we meet next it’s going to be the same thing,” he said in a statement released by the Nigeria Football Federation. All we need to do is to be focused, concentrate and pray for good health for our best players and the rest will be history.”
Keshi believes that all of the traditionally-bigger nations will have an uphill struggle in trying to book their places in Brazil next summer.
He said: “I am certain that it will be tough, unpredictable and exciting for both the so-called big teams and the minnows.”
