Africa Brazil 2014: Nigeria-Ethiopia, NFF to choose qualifier venue before tomorrow

NFFThe Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have a race against time to select a venue for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia.

FIFA, the world governing body has mandated that all qualified teams are to submit their intended venues for the game before Friday.

The NFF are yet to decide which venue they will use as for their home game, and are faced with a dilemma whether to stick with Calabar where they have played previous qualifiers, or use the newly renovated Abuja national stadium.

Nigeria will first travel to Addis Ababa for the first leg of the play-offs in the week of October 11 – 15,the return leg will be played in the week of November 15 – 19.

On paper, it looks like an easy draw for Nigeria but the Super Eagles would know that Ethiopia will not be easy going by their last meeting at the African Nations Cup, where two late penalties by Victor Moses sealed a 2-0 victory for the Super Eagles.
