Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers described Luis Suarez’s performance in Wednesday night’s Capital One Cup defeat to Manchester United as ‘absolutely terrific’.The Uruguay international was making his return from a 10-match ban for biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic back in April.
“He was absolutely terrific,” says Rodgers. “It is difficult coming into a game of such magnitude and for him to come back after not playing for a while, I thought he was magnificent.“
