Hasaacas goalkeeper George Owu has asked Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah to give him a chance in the Black Stars as he (Kwesi Appiah) prepares to call his players for the first leg play-off against Egypt. The former Kotoko and King Faisal goallie believe he has a lot of experience and his current form is a solution to Black Stars goalkeeping problem.Owu was part of the Black Stars squad in the 2008 African Cup of Nations which was held on home soil.
“I am playing very well and deserve a place in the team,” Owu said. “At the moment I’m concentrating on Hasaacas, but if I get the opportunity to play for the Black Stars, I won’t hesistate. “The national team coaches should spread their net wide and monitor the performances of some of us as well.
“I don’t want to speak too much but I believe I’m in top shape and want to stage a return to the national team.”Owu has not been in the Black Stars camp since 2008 and believe it is time the coach give him a chance to protect the Black Stars goalpost.
