Africa Kotoko goalkeeper Isaac Amoako eyes Black Stars call up

AmoakoGoalkeeper Isaac Amoako is expecting a Black Stars call up on the back of impressive displays for Asante Kotoko. The 30-year-old’s name has been thrown into the mix ahead of Ghana’s crucial 2014 World Cup playoff against Egypt. Amoako could be making a return to the Black Stars following a series of impressive displays for Asante Kotoko.
The ex BA United goalkeeper particularly impressed in the Super Clash against Hearts of Oak last weekend where he was instrumental in Kotoko’s famous 1-0 win. The 30-year-old now says he will be at his composed best if he is given the call to help Ghana in crucial playoff against Egypt. “A call up is all that is needed,” he told Metro FM. “I have been with the national team and therefore there is nothing like pressure.
I have been able to keep for Kotoko under difficult circumstances and therefore will not be pressured at all in post for the Black Stars. In fact, it is during such circumstances that you see Isaac Amoako.”
Amoako has been impressive in the post for Kotoko in the absence of recognised first choice Abdoulaye Soulama who had issues with renewing his work permit in Ghana.
