One week after the resounding prowess of Wilson Kipsang in the arteries of Berlin, Kenyan athletes are still on the podium of a marathon. Two countrymen of the new holder of the world record of discipline, climbed onto the podium of the 10th Brussels marathon run on Sunday.
With a time away from the course record, Samson Kiptoo Bungei dominated this marathon in Brussels. The Kenyan crossed the finish line first after 2h 15’49 race. He was ahead with one minute 41 seconds from fellow Joash Kipkoech Mutai (2h 17’30”) winner of the previous edition.
Belgian Gino Van Geyte rises on the third step of the podium with a time of 2 h 28’37”.
