Ghana Ghana: Boateng Gyan “I was only advising Boateng not warning him”

images (1)Ahead of the World Cup Brazil 2014 playoffs’ secong leg tie against Egypt, German-based Ghanaian star Kevin Prince Boateng of Schalke 04- club he joined with injuries– does not make proof of commitment to the Black Stars.

The 26-year old failed to make a playing return since renouncing his premature decision to quit international football three months ago.

Such a doubtful attitude of Kevin made Black Stars management committee member and uncle of the player Yaw Boateng Gyan  issue an ultimatum to the Schalke star to either turn up for the second-leg World Cup playoff against Egypt or forget playing at the World Cup.

But uncle Boateng just denied he was not warning his nephew but he was rather advising him.

“I was only advising him [Boateng] not warning him,” he told Metro FM.

“I was advicing him on the importance of honouring this national team call in order for us not to serve a bad precedence. People who play in the qualifiers and qualify the team to the World Cup deserve to play at the World Cup. No one works hard for someone else to come and enjoy.”

Boateng has been included in the 24-man Squad to finish with Egypt on November 19.
