Brazil 2014 Egypt: El Sayed ” My advice to the national team is to fight and fight and fight”

2013-635085371869312219-931Despite the Egyptian Pharaohs’ slim chances of World Cup qualification after being inflicted a 6-1 humiliation in their first leg tie against Ghana at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi on October 15, 2013, Egypt will not decrease arms for the second leg on Tuesday.

The encouraging  and strengthening words for such a determination were from Egypt’ legend El Sayed who was adjudged the best goalkeeper on the continent in 1998 and 2000.

“My advice to the national team is to fight and fight and fight, ” he told Metro FM.

“In football, you never know but even if we can’t score 5-0 we should fight to leave the competition with a respectable result,” he added.

African football annals reveal that El Sayed saved penalties to deny Asante Kotoko an African title while with Zamalek in 1993.
