Brazil 2014 Osam-Duodu not inclined to go on attachment with Kwesi Appiah

_1727511_osamduodu300Ghana’s football legend Fred Osam Duodu who won the Black Stars’ last African Cup of Nations in 1982 has turned down manager Kwesi Appiah’s call for a coaching help ahead of next year’s World Cup in Brazil.

The manager who led Ghana’s Under-20 team to win the 1993 African U-20 Cup of Nations and a silver medal at the 1993 FIFA World Youth Championship, thinks this call has come at the right.

“I think it is too late to make this call, education is good but let’s ask ourselves, is this time right? I think this is the time for preparation, we need to give the coach videos of all the teams we are meeting in the group games, so that he can mark strategies to score them.” Osam Duodu said

“Let’s focus on the 2014 World cup and stop raising some of these issues because it will not take us anywhere.”

Kwesi  is Ghana’s first local coach to secure a World Cup Final berth for the Black Stars and got his named registered in Ghana’s football annals.
