Europe Club World Cup: Bayern Munich slap Guangzhou to seal final berth

2013-635229215831866737-186This is a wonderful victory for Bayern Munich on Tuesday in the semifinals of the FIFA Club World Cup 2013. The German club has easily won against Guangzhou Evergrande 3-0 in a match they completely controlled. Pep Guardiola’s men thus qualify for the final of the competition and will know their opponent tomorrow.

Though Bayern Munich has had every opportunity in this meeting, it took until the final minutes of the first period to see the nets shaking. Franck Ribéry who had previously found the post, eventually defies Zeng, the Chinese goalie. The latter will suffer a lot as Mandzukic from behind aggravates the scoring at the break (2-0).

Against Raja in the final?

After the break, it just took a minute for Bayern to dull the scoring. An achievemnt of Mario Götze leaves no chance to Zeng. The last minutes of the match have just witnessed a succession of missed opportunities by the Germans. Two new posts will be found. Final score 3-0.

The second semi-final on Wednesday opposes Raja Casablanca to Atletico Mineiro of Brazil.
