Football Champions League: Petr Cech eager to face Drogba

Beyond the game, the captain of the Elephants of Cote d’ Ivoire will still celebrate the title of the Champions League won in 2012 with his former teammates. The goalkeeper Petr Cech is impatient to see Didier Drogba.

“I am excited because this is a big sign and it will be also the first time I play in this stadium. Facing with Drogba is also a first. We all know his importance, we’ll have to play well against him. We are crossing a good time, games smile at us right now and we want it to be the same.”

The former Blues allowed his former team to win the Champions League in 2012. The Ivory Coast international made the heyday for Stamford Bridge fans.

“It will be emotionally difficult to play against Chelsea. You cannot spend eight years in a city you do not like. When you are in a club, you want to stay there forever. But sometimes you cannot do whatever you want. I am proud of what I’ve done,” said Drogba.
