It’s in a pouring rain that athletes committed to the 20th Rome Marathon crossed the streets of the Italian city. After a run of 2h 09 min, the Ethiopian Hailu Shume Legese crosses first the finish line ahead of his compatriot Sisay Jisa Mekonnen. Kenyan Leonard Kipkoech completed the podium.

42, 195 Km have been curled in 2h 34 min 49 sec by Ayelu Lemma Geda among ladies. The Ethiopian anticipated on the podium Moroccan Janat Hanane (2nd) and the Italian Emma Quaglia.
