They were the last African representatives to the 4th edition of the World Cup Under-17 female version which takes place in Costa Rica. Unfortunately, Ghana and Nigeria were eliminated from the competition after the quarter-finals played in the night from Thursday to Friday.
Tied with Italy at the end of regulation time, Ghana was finally released after the penalty shootout (3-4). An against-performance for this country of West Africa which ranked third in the previous edition played in 2012 in Azerbaijan. As to Nigeria, they were corrected by Spain 3-0.
The third representatives, Zambia, who were at their first participation to the high mass competition, have been eliminated from the first round.
