Tim Sherwood will not continue at the head of Tottenham at the end of the season. The Spurs manager is announced on departure and Dutchman Louis Van Gaal is already tipped to replace him. But he has a significant advantage to support him.

Long shelved by his predecessor Andre Villas-Boas, Tim Sherwood was the man who confided Emmanuel Adebayor enough to hand out to him an honorable place in his squad to prove the world his quality as international striker.

The Togolese striker who succeeded in proving that quality on the field, (10 goals in the Premier League since his return in December) would like him to stay unless he decides nothing at Spurs.

“Sherwood was great. When everyone had forgotten me, he was able to save me. I hope he stays but I decide nothing”, said the giant striker after 5-1 win at Sunderland Monday where he scored 2 goals for his return.
