Africa Soccer DOUE, YEO, BIRUMUSHAHU: The FIRST AFRICAN TRIO of referees in the spotlight

While Yuichi Nishimura, the Japanese referee will officiate the opening match of the 2014 World Cup between Brazil and Croatia, the FIFA (International Federation of Association Football) reveals the composition of quartets for the other first 3 matches of the competition.

The opportunity to discover that an African trio will be honored at the 4th match of the competition. For the meeting Chile-Australia, it is Ivorian Doue Noumandiez who will whistle. He will be assisted by fellow Burundians Songuifolo Yeo and Jean-Claude Birumushahu.

The fourth official is Panamanian and is named Roberto Moreno, while the substitute referee is Eric Boria from the United States.

Note that 3 trios of African referees will be present in Brazil for the 2014 World Cup.
