Africa Soccer KANU: “NIGERIA WILL REACH SEMI-FINALS”

A draw is enough for Nigeria to access the second round of the World Cup. Super Eagles face this Wednesday Argentina with Lionel Messi, for the last group match in Group F.

And now, the former Nigerian international, Nwankwo Kanu is confident about the rest of the competition. He believes that his countrymen will go far in this tournament. “Nigeria is progressing at each output, he says on the website of the African Confederation (CAF). Our success against Bosnia gave us a boost of confidence and ambition. I am convinced that we are able to get a positive result against Argentina.”

He also argues that the African defending champion will “reach at least the semifinals.”

Current second in Group F behind the Albiceleste, Nigeria needs only a draw on Wednesday (18h 00) against Lionel Messi and his partners to qualify for knockout stages. Nigerians may be opposed to the France team after their qualification.
