Africa Football: “I’am enjoying China”, says Chansa

Zambia and ex-Orlando Pirates midfielder Isaac Chansa says he is enjoying life in China.
Chansa left Pirates in June to join Chinese side Henan Jianye on a three-year deal.

The Zambia midfielder said he the only down side of his first season at Henan was the disappointment of having to witness his side demoted.

“Life is China has been good but it is only that we didn’t do well as a club,” Chansa told kickoff.com.

“It a pity that the team went down.

“But as an individual I did very well since I went there and I have settled very well.”

Chansa added that he was likely to stay at Henan to help with their promotion battle next season.

“We have discussed it (staying) with the club and they want everyone to stay but that will obviously happen maybe after the Africa Cup or even before,” Chansa said.

Chansa played 15 times for his new Chinese club scoring twice.

Henan finished bottom of the Chinese Super League in 16th place at the climax of the just-ended 2012 season.

Meanwhile, asked what he missed about Pirates, Chansa smiled and said: “Ah, the crazy supporters.”
