Africa CECAFA: Kenyan officials detained at a hotel in Kampala

Doris Petra, head of the Kenyan delegation to the latest edition of the Cecafa Cup, was detained on Monday at their hotel in Kampala. The reason, a bill of nearly 300,000 rand (South African currency) unresolved.

The bill has increased after the KFF (Kenya Football Federation) has added three additional people to the official delegation. A charge that the organizing committee of the tournament would not take into account and set the number of delegates to 25 people.

“Yes I can confirm to you that we have had to detain the FKF official Doris Petra for accrued bills by the Kenyan federation which have to be paid before she can leave,” The source told supersport.com.

Cecafa Cup ended last Saturday with the coronation of Uganda.
