AFCON CAMEROON 2021 CAF: Nissan to sponsor Africa Cup of Nations

Nissan has agreed a sponsorship deal with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the next two editions of the Africa Cup of Nations international soccer tournament.

The Japanese car manufacturer will become the official automotive partner of the competition, joining the likes of Samsung, Pepsi, Standard Bank and title sponsor Orange.

The partnership runs through next year’s tournament in South Africa and the 2015 edition in Morocco, and includes a range of benefits aimed at helping Nissan grow its business across Africa in general and the two host nations in particular.

The financial terms of the deal were not released.

CAF president Issa Hayatou said: “CAF and the African football are delighted to welcome Nissan among the major partners of the Orange Africa Cups of Nations 2013 and 2015.”

South Africa will host the 2013 Orange Africa Cup of Nations from 19th January to 10th February.

It will be the second edition of the event in two years, as CAF moves it away from the cycle of the Uefa European Championship and Fifa World Cup.
