Africa Nigeria: A national championship of beach soccer coming forth

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) announced recently the forth coming of a beach soccer championship.

An announcement made at the end of Copa Lagos, an exhibition match played a long time ago between the Sand Eagles (the beach soccer national team) and Portugal (8-7).
Emmanuel Ikpeme, the technical director of the NFF said the federation thinks about this organization and it should be achieved by the year after studying logistics. Nigeria is a benchmark for beach soccer on the continent.

They notably won the African Cup of discipline twice in 2007 and 2009. They  also reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup in 2007 and 2011.
