Africa Odemwingie to replace Ba at Newcastle?

According to The Sun, Newcastle prospects the Nigerian striker of West Bromwich Albion to replace the Senegalese Demba Ba.

Announced on departure, Ba has not yet reached an agreement with any of the clubs courting him.

But the club does not fold arms after his departure.

“Alan Pardew is very interested in Peter Odemwingie“, reported The Sun on Wednesday. The newspaper added that discussions were initiated between the two clubs at the opening of the transfer window. Odemwingie, 31, could therefore leave the Baggies for about 3 million pounds.

With another 18 month contract with the club of McClarke, Odemwingie could get released this winter. WBA would monetize his value before the player falls.
