Africa Tanzania: Taifa stars set for Ethiopia friendly

Tanzania’s Taifa stars will play a friendly match against Ethiopia’s Walya Antelopes next week in Addis Ababa.

Ethiopia, who is the only team in the Cecafa region to have qualified for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations which starts in South Africa in two weeks time, will use the match to make final preparations for the tournament.

For Taifa Stars, the match will be a build-up for their 2014 World Cup Qualifier game against Morocco in March. They will start on Saturday under their Danish Coach Kim Poulsen this Saturday.

The friendly game will be played on January 11 at the Addis Ababa National Stadium.

Defenders: Aggrey Morris (Azam), Amir Maftah (Simba), Erasto Nyoni (Azam), Issa Rashid (Mtibwa Sugar), Kelvin Yondani (Yanga), Nadir Haroub (Yanga) and Shomari Kapombe (Simba).

Midfielders: Salum Abubakar (Azam), Athuman Idd (Yanga), Amri Kiemba (Simba), Khamis Mcha (Azam), Frank Domayo (Yanga), Mwinyi Kazimoto (Simba) and Shabani Nditi (Mtibwa Sugar).

Forwards: John Bocco (Azam), Mbwana Samata (TP Mazembe), Mrisho Ngasa (Simba), Simon Msuva (Yanga), and Thomas Ulimwengu (TP Mazembe)
