AFCON CAMEROON 2021 Afcon 2013: Referee Malik get’s delighted to officiate

The Ghanaian referee who officiated at the 2011 under 20 Championship in South Africa in an interview with JOY Sports noted that, his hard work over the years has paid off.

He was selected by the Confederation of African Football after successfully passing a cooper test held in Cairo last month.

He is among the list of 21 assistant referees for the tournament which begins on January 19.

Ghanaian referee A S Malik says he is happy with his progression after being selected to be part of the officiating team at the upcoming Nations Cup in South Africa.

“I felt very great because every referee or whoever finds himself in his endeavour tries hard to climb to the top, so being a referee and aspire to climb high I feel great that I was selected”, said referee Malik

“This is my maiden Nations Cup and it clearly tells me that my efforts over the years both on the local and international scene is recognized”
