Speaking on Lagos Television (LTV) on Tuesday ,the President General of the Nigerian football Supporters’ Club, Rafiu Ladipo admitted that for many years Nigerian Football Team used black magic “JUJU” (voodoo).
He advices that now the only thing left to be done is to pray and that, “there is no place for Voodoo in football’.
“I was carrying Super Eagles juju for so many decades until we came to realize that juju doesn’t play football”, he added “we have decided to put a stop to it as there are no links between the two”.
Ladipo believes Nigeria can win the Afcon this time around since it has been won on their home soil in 1980 and in Tunisia in 1994. The President of the Nigerian Football Supporters Club would lead 3000 supporters to South Africa this year for the Afcon.
