AFCON CAMEROON 2021 Afcon 2013: Ethiopia almost defeated Zambia (1-1) -Analysis-

Who would have thought!

Ethiopia held in check Zambia, the African defending champion (1-1).

Yet the Walya Antelopes had evolved shorthanded after the expulsion of the porter, Jamel Tassew.

The first expelled from the Afcon 2013 violently hit the Zambian striker Chisamba Lungu in the 35th minute. The Ethiopian coach was to put out of the midfielder, Shimelese to enter the second goalkeeper Zerihun Tadele. Outnumbered, the Ethiopia team fails to crisscross the area of the game.

Suddenly, the Chipolopolo took the descent by opening the scoring in stoppage time of the first half after a superb action; Abesuma Collins plays perfectly the shot.

After the break, Ethiopia showed its temerity by countering its opponent.

The Walya Antelopes’ defense has a shot deflected for a corner from 25 yards to Chris Katongo. It was in the 55th minute. This comes in the 59th minute, following a work of Mbesuma to turn the breach, but the ball is deflected for a corner.

Ethiopia takes the ball by the horns and returned to score in the 65th minute. Work of Adane Girma, the star of this training.

The score could change if the hand was not Tadele farm in the 79th minute after a pivotal Mbesuma strikes. The entering of Emmanuel Mayuka instead of Chris Katongo has donated nothing.

Ethiopia is defeating the Champion of Africa. A team that will cause many problems to the other opponents in the group.
