AFCON CAMEROON 2021 AFCON 2013: South Africa targets against Morocco

South Africa host of the 2013 AFCON play against Morocco at Moses Mabhida Stadium in their last match of Group A targeting just appoint to qualify for the last eight of the 2013 Africa Nations Cup in South Africa.

The Bafana Bafana boy’s climbed to the top of Group A when they managed to defeat Angola 2-0 last Wednesday, all while Morocco and Cape Verde played out to a goalless draw.

Fielding five different players to the ones who started against the Blue Sharks on the opening day of the tournament proved to be a success, but with injuries to Wednesday’s goals corer Lehlohonolo Majoro (calf) and Tekolo Rantie (ankle), the coach will be forced to shuffle the pack around once again.

Youssef El Arabi’s second half strike was crucial in saving Morocco from the grips of defeat and they will now need nothing short of a win to see them through to the next round.

Meanwhile, the win over Angola marked the first African Cup of Nations win for South Africa since 2004 and they will need just one point against Morocco, who lies second on two points with Cape Verde, to secure their spot in the quarter-finals of AFCON 2013.

Morocco will Miss Younes Belhanda for the crucial fixture after picking up two yellow cards in the previous two Group A encounters.

Morocco will need get a win over South Africa and get on high hopes that Cape Verd never makes it or gets on to another point as they face Angola.

Gordon Igesund is expected to ring in the changes once again as his squad is hit with injuries.
