Africa Biography: Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor

Adebayor is a Togolese footballer, born 26th February, 1984. He plays as a striker and Captains Togo’s National Football Team (Sparrow Hawks).

Career

2000 – 2001: Metz B

2003 – 2005: AS Monaco

2005 – 2009: Arsenal

2009 – 2010: Manchester City

However, in 2010 he was one of the players involved in Togo’s unforgettable tragedy that happened in Angola when the National Football Team came under gunfire on the way to the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2010) in Angola.
