On RFI microphone, the defender of Burkina Faso selection, Mohamed Koffi happy for the solid match against Zambia, aims the final:
“It is a huge joy. We fought to achieve our objective was to reach the quarter-finals. Fifteen years we were expecting that … we overlapped this course together with the whole group.”
You had to be very strong. We knew that Zambia had a good offensive game, very fast and technical. They were the champions of Africa and as a team that could beat the Ivory Coast in the final (Ndrl, AFCON 2012), this is not just any team. So we had to be very careful. We have defended a lot, but we held.
Now we will focus on our next game. We shall fight together and I think we can reach the final.”
