Adrian Le Roux and assistant coach of Kolkata Knight Riders Vijah Dahiya former Indian team’s fitness trainers are in the country.
The duo is in Uganda courtesy of The Kolkata Knight Riders and the Mehta Group of Company, who are the official sponsors of the national cricket teams. They are helping the different teams to improve on their performance.

Monday: U-19 boys
Tuesday: Senior Men’s team
Wednesday: Senior Men’s team
Thursday: Senior Men’s team
On Saturday, the duo arrived in the country and started work with the women national team, having workouts at the Lugogo hockey pitch, as the cricket oval was being used for the T-20 cricket league.
“It is about your health and trying to avoid injuries. The way you move your body and joints matters a lot,” said Le Roux, who is currently on the technical committee of the Indian Premier League Kolkata Knight Riders as he showed the girls the different moves that can save them from getting injured.
They later took the girls through the net practice with an effort of showing them how to bat best.
Justine Ligyalingi who is the Uganda Cricket Association chief executive officer, according to him the trip comes in handy as the national teams are all preparing for the different international events.
“We are very thankful for our partners. We have started yielding results, and we expect to even benefit more when we have a camp in India,” added Ligyalingi.

Wonderful to read if this partnership. Having persons if the calibre if Adrian and Vijah there can only help the development of the game at all levels in Uganda. Am also looking forward to my first visit to Uganda shortly to be the Match Referee at the Africa Div 1 event which starts on the 23 rd.
