AFCON CAMEROON 2021 Afcon 2013 : Analysis of the 1st match of the day – Ivory Coast 1 – 2 Nigeria

Full time!  Ivory Coast 1 – 2 Nigeria. Nigeria is through to the semi-final!!

Despite being underdogs before the match, The Super Eagles progress! Emanuel Emenike and Sunday Mba both scored to cancel out Cheikh Tiote’s heded equaliser. The Africa Cup of Nations favourites are out!

The match really was an end-to end stuff here. Both sides are going for it! They don’t want extra time! Still plenty of time to grab a goal.

Nigeria did very well in breaking up Ivory Coast play. They are patiently keeping possession in an attempt to run down the clock. Are we in line for a grandstand finish? Or will The Super Eagles progress to the semi-final?

The official has been very picky about the hustle and bustle going on inside the box from set-pieces.

Nigeria easily cleaned up and worked the ball up the park. The quality of the crossing at the match had been poor so far. Players got into decent positions on the wings but the final product has not been good enough.
